Excavation

Ecological accidents with acute risk of pollution spreading or at difficult-to-treat sites often call for immediate response. To ease our client’s stress load, EPS biotechnology provides all necessary steps, including urgent soil excavation, transport to secured landfill, and the relevant legislative procedures.

Pump and Treat

This technique presents the physical removal of pollutant by its pumping along with the contaminated groundwater and subsequent separation of the free or dissolved phase on the surface (oil hydrocarbons, toxic metals). Furthermore, the method serves for the creation of the hydraulic barrier that prevents the spread of the pollution or the leak of applied reagents beyond the target area.

Venting

Basically, suction of the soil-vapor from the unsaturated zone and its treatment by sorbent filters on surface. The method is intended mainly for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and it is commonly combined with the pump-and-treat technique.
